Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/03/2022 from 10:24 am - 11:45 am. At the time of the tour 45 children were in care with four teaching staff. The children in care ranged in age from 18 months - six years.
Children were observed during morning program time and morning snack.
Records were reviewed for three children and three new staff.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview, the center failed to ensure that staff records contain all of the required elements.

Evidence:
1. The records for staff 1, staff 2 and staff 3 lacked written documentation of two reference checks.
2. The program director stated that reference checks had been conducted for all three staff however, these checks had not been documented in the files.
Plan of Correction: Written Reference checks will be placed in the files for all three staff.
