Violations
1Evidence:
1. There was an epipen stored at the facility fort emergency use in the event of an allergic reaction of child 5. The parent authorization for administration of the epipen expired in August 2019.
The parent was contacted during the inspection to complete a new authorization form.
A procedure will be put into place to track the expiration dates on medications and authorization forms to ensure that parents are notified of the expiration dates well in advance of expiration. Should an authorization or medication expire, the medication will be returned to the parent as required.
