Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was initiated on March 3, 2022 and concluded on March 11, 2022. The site director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 31 children present ages three through five years old with six staff. The inspector emailed the site director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed three children?s records and three staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation and interview the center failed to ensure that a child requiring emergency medication is in care with a staff member trained in Medication administration.

Based on record review and interview the center failed to ensure that in each classroom there is at least one staff certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid.
Evidence:
1 - Staff 2, 3 and 4 did not have CPR or first aid training and during the inspection they were observed working in separate classrooms alone.

b. Staff 3 was working with a group of seven, four and five year old children.
c. Staff 4 was working with a group of seven, four and five year old children.
Staff 1 confirmed at the time of the inspection staff 2, 3 and 4 did not have CPR certification and were working alone in classrooms were children were in care.
