Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 04/09/2024. There were 52 children , ages 2.5 to 6 years old, present with12 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 children's records, and 5 staff records were reviewed/updated. The inspection started at 10:20 am and concluded at 11:14 am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the Religious Exempt Provider failed to ensure that all areas of the premises accessible to children are free of obvious injury hazards, including providing and maintaining sand or other cushioning material under playground equipment.

Evidence:
1. The LI observed children climbing a rope on the swing set that the ground was visible and the mulch was washed away.
Plan of Correction: The mulch delivery is coming in on Friday and I will make sure that there will be quite a bit of mulch under the climbing rope.
