Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/24/2023 from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. There were 14 children present, ranging in ages from three to four years old with two staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and four staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation and interview, the center failed to ensure that when food is brought from home, the container is clearly dated and labelled in a way that identifies the owner.
Evidence:
1. There were four cups without a name and date. There were three cups without a date.
2. Staff #1 confirmed that cups were missing the names and dates.
Plan of Correction: The cups will be dated by the next day that the children are in attendance.
