Inspector Notes

A code compliance inspection was conducted on 09/13/2023. There were 51 children present, ranging in ages from 2 years to 5 years old, with 8 staff supervising. The children were observed during circle time, while playing outside in the playground, working in an art project with paint and fruits, and playing with toys.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and medication. A total of 3 children?s records and 4 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on record review, the program did not ensure to obtain fingerprint-based criminal history check determination letter every five years for employees.
Evidence:
1) The record for Staff #3 had a fingerprint-based criminal history check determination letter dated 02/09/2018.
2) The record for Staff #4 had a fingerprint-based criminal history check determination letter dated 03/26/2018.
Plan of Correction: Staff is getting fingerprinted this week.
