Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 1:45 ? 3:25pm with the director. There were 31 children ranging from three years to five years of age, present with six staff supervising. Children were observed resting/napping, waking, and playing with age-appropriate toys. Six staff records, three medications and authorization forms, the emergency drill log, daily attendance, and written list of food allergies, sensitivities and dietary preferences were reviewed.

Based on observation, it was determined that not all rest mats being used by children had cushioning. Evidence: multiple children in the JK and PreK classrooms were observed sleeping/resting on "nappers" that did not have cushioning.
Plan of Correction: Requested clarification from inspector on guidelines regarding cushioning.

Based on review of documentation, not all shelter-in-place drills were practiced a minimum of twice per year as required. Evidence: The last documented shelter-in-place drill was conducted on: 12/13/2021.
Plan of Correction: Provided documentation of shelter in place drill on 1/13/2023. Next drill is on 3/10/23.
