Inspector Notes

Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 9:25am and 11:55pm. There were 6 classrooms observed with a total of 57 children with 9 staff and 11 co-op parents within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed participating in a cooking project, circle time, art projects and handwashing. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, evacuation drill log, emergency medication and emergency materials were observed during this inspection. Based on observation of the of the center, areas inside the center were not maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

Evidence:
1.The trash can in the Kangaroo classroom has chipping paint and rust.
2. The blue carpet in the Dolphins classroom has two curling corners.
Plan of Correction: I will paint the trash can today to ensure no more chipping pain. I will apply velcro today to keep the carpet corners down.

Based on observation, all food brought from home was not clearly dated.

Evidence:
1. Two children?s lunch boxes containing food from home were not dated today.
Plan of Correction: Children?s lunches were dated and corrected on site at time of visit.
