Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 9/26/2023 and concluded on 9/27/2023. There were 15 children present with 4 staff supervising. The children were observed during teacher led activities and engaged in self-play at various centers. A total of 5 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:40 am and concluded at 10:50 am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and staff interview the center did not ensure the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course shall be completed within 90 calendar days of employment.
Evidence: The director confirmed that Staff #4 (date of hire 2/7/2022) had not completed the preservice training
