Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 11/20/2023 at approximately 11:50am and concluded on 11/20/2023 at approximately 1:30pm. There were a total of 69 children with 9 staff members present. Children were observed during lunch time, washing hands, and preparing for naptime. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 9 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of staff information, the center did not obtain new criminal history record checks every five years for each staff member.

Evidence: The criminal history record check for Staff #2 was expired.
Plan of Correction: Staff #2 was signed up for a criminal history record check for the next day. Center will keep documentation of the criminal history record check for Staff #2.

Based on review of staff information, the center did not obtain new Virginia central registry checks every five years.

Evidence: The Virginia central registry check for Staff #2 was expired.
Plan of Correction: The Center completed the documents needed for Staff #2 to have a Virginia central registry check. Center will keep documentation of the Virginia central registry record for Staff #2.
