Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 03/15/2021 and concluded on 3/15/2021. The in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were children present and 90 staff. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

As of March 25, 2021 plan of correction was not provided.

Based on record review and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure staff shall undergo a background check every five years.

Evidence: Staff #1 most recent central registry was February 11, 2016 more than five years old. Director stated she submitted central registry on February 5, 2021 but have not received the results .
