8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Child Day Centers

Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on 04/02/2024. There were 25 children present with 3 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. *REPEAT VIOLATION*
Based on record review, the program did not ensure that all staff who work directly with children has a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care.
Evidence:
1) The CPR certification in the record for Staff #1 had an expiration date of 10/21/2023.
Plan of Correction: Have Staff attend CPR certification class.
