Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews (if applicable) and a virtual tour of the program (if applicable).

A monitoring inspection was initiated on September 14, 2021 and concluded on September 16, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 25 school agers children present, with 4 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and all staff records were reviewed.

Standard 22VAC40-185-60-A-7
Based on record review and interview it was determined that child #2's record did not include written plan of action for a child's food allergy.
Evidence:
1. Child #2 has listed food allergy and while child's name is listed on confidential allergy list, the file lists the Allergies to food, but does not include actions to take in an emergency situation.
2. The CS explained parent has been unable to obtain another emergency medicine to be stored at center.
Plan of Correction: We will have parent list to call 911 as the child only comes in the AM when the Nurse's office is open.
