Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on February 26, 2024 between the hours of 7:40am - 8:50am. There were 14 children directly supervised by 2 staff at the beginning of the inspection. Children continued to arrive for a total of 27 children. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 3 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed arriving, coloring, playing board games and dancing. The staff was observed having positive interactions with the children and participating in activities. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on observation, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence:
A upper unlocked cabinet in the main SACC room contained multiple cleaning supplies that stated (keep out of reach of children) on the labels. The cabinet was within reach of the children in care.
Plan of Correction: The items will be placed in a locked closet today.
