Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 8:10am-9:05pm. There were 31 children directly supervised by 3 staff. The physical plant, staff records, children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play outside, reading books, playing inside, and eating snack. Handwashing was observed before and after eating snack and transitions between playground and inside demonstrated supervision of children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on record review, it was determined written medicine approval was not current for a child's file.
Evidence:
1. Child has medication authorization current with parents signature but physician's authorization is from previous school year.
Plan of Correction: We will get the current authorization and any others up to date authorizations today from the school's nurse.
