Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on September 23, 205, as a part of the licensure period.The on-site inspection began at 9:30amand ended at 10:15am The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 18 children present and five staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and three staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-560-G
When food is brought from home, the food container shall be sealed and clearly dated and labeled in a way that identifies the owner.

Three lunch boxes were not dated and labeled in a way to identify the owner.
Plan of Correction: The lunch boxes were dated and labeled at the time of the inspection. Moving forward, all food from home will be dated and labeled to identify the owner.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A
Each center shall maintain and keep at the center a separate record for each child enrolled that contains all the required information.
The record for Child #4 was missing two addresses for two designated people to call in an emergency if the parent cannot be reached.
Plan of Correction: The parent will add the addresses to the two designated emergency contacts to the record.
