Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site (monitoring/renewal/focused) inspection was initiated and completed on 11/01/2024, as a part of licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 11:05 AM and ended at 12:25 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 21 children present and 3 staff. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 3 staff records on-site. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-550-H
The center shall maintain a record of the dates of the practice drills for one year.

The log of practiced drills for the previous year was not available.
Plan of Correction: Moving forward, I will keep a copy of the practiced drills log.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A-8
A written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

The allergy action plan for Child #2 was overdue by 10 weeks.
Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent to provide the allergy plan.
