Inspector Notes

A mandated monitoring inspection was conducted on November 6, 2023 from 9:15am-10:00am. There were 20children in care with 4 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 4 staff certifications were reviewed. Children were observed playing a game of pool, completing art projects, and interacting with staff.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review, there was not a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy.

Evidence: Child 1 does not have a written care plan for a diagnosed food allergy with instructions from a physician on the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
