Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and a virtual tour of the program.

A renewal inspection was conducted on 10/7/2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 16 children present during the morning session with 3 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records, 2 medication records and 3 staff records were reviewed.


Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and director statement, children with emergency medication were not always be in the care of a staff member or independent contractor who meets the requirements of medication administration training.
Evidence:
On the date of inspection two children had emergency medication present at the center. There is no staff currently employed at the child day center who have a current medication authorization training. According to a statement by the director, Adult 1 has previously been certified but the certification has expired and the expired certificate could not be produced on the date of inspection.
