Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 2:05-2:55. There were 35 children directly supervised by 6 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff training records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing in the gym, creating t-shirt designs, and making Valentine Cards. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on staff record review, staff #4 had an expired CPR/First Aid certificate.
Evidence:
1. Staff #4 stated her CPR has expired but she is signed up for a class.
2. Records showed it did expire.

Based on review of emergency drills, the center did not record one in December, 2022.
Evidence:
1. Evacuation Log did not have a drill recorded for December.
2. Staff stated they had one around the last day before break and just forgot to write it down.
