Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conduced today. It was a teacher work day.
There were 32 children present with 3 staff.
3 staff records were reviewed for specific items only, as the full record is reviewed at the main office at another time. All were complete.
3 child records were reviewed. 2 additional child records were reviewed for medication items only.
See Violation Notice for non-compliances cited today.
Children were observed participating in a wide variety of activities, washing hands, transitioning from the gym to the rooms and eating lunch.
The menu, emergency escape drills, Shelter-in-place drills, emergency supplies, first aid supplies, posted documents and attendance were all incompliance today.

Based on a review of medications, one medication present does not have all required information documented.
Evidence:
One medication present at the center does not have an authorization to administer the medication available for review. There is only an asthma care plan available. (Child 1)
Plan of Correction: The parent brought in the signed FCPS authorization for VA Asthma Action plan and is in the SACC medical log book.

Based on a review of medication, one medication present at the center was not in the original, labeled container.
Evidence:
Child 2's medication does not have a prescription label attached.
Plan of Correction: The parent was asked to bring in the prescription label for the medication.

Evidence:
