Inspector Notes
A self reported inspection regarding behavioral guidance and outside requirements was initiated on 10/17/2023 and concluded on 10/26/2023. There were a total of 32 children with 3 staff members present. Children were observed engaged in several activities throughout the two SACC classrooms. Information gathered during the investigation determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. The self-reported incident was deemed valid.
Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today in order for it to be included on the website. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures. Please do not use staff names; list staff by positions only.

2Evidence:
Staff confirmed that the children did not go outside across a two week time span.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1 did not respect the personal privacy of several children when staff #1 tickled children throughout the current school year.
2. Staff #1 was asked to stop tickling at least two children as it was not welcomed. Staff interviews confirmed the tickling did not stop.
professional relationships with children, interacting with children to provide help, comfort, and support, and respecting personal privacy and boundaries. The Regional Supervisor will review the VDOE licensing standards with the staff. The
Fairfax County Standards of Conduct and Code of Ethics as they relate to SACC, and the SACC Principles for Teachers and Core Values will also be reviewed.
The staff member will be required to attend training on Professionalism in SACC.
The Regional Supervisor will conduct both announced and unannounced site visits to observe and monitor the staff's interactions with children. Regional Supervisors will review with all staff program-wide best practices and strategies for developing appropriate and professional relationships with children, interacting with children to provide help, comfort, and support, and respecting
personal privacy and boundaries. The Fairfax County Standards of Conduct and Code of Ethics as they relate to SACC will also be reviewed.
