Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on September 2, 2022. There were 16 children present, with 3 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed eating lunch, cleaning up and reading. A total of 3 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of emergency preparedness plan, the center did not review and update the plan.
Evidence
The center has a plan that did not contain current information. The last update to the plan was 8/20/2019.
Plan of Correction: We will update the plan and sign and date that it has been updated. We will review and update the plan annually.
Standard 8VAC20-780-560-G
Based on observation, when food was brought from home it was not clearly dated and labeled in a way that identified the owner.
Evidence
Lunch boxes or the contents inside the lunch box was not labeled with the date or labeled to identify the owner.
Plan of Correction: We will label all food brought from home with the date and child's name.
