Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 12:05pm-1:15pm. There were 21 children directly supervised by 2 staff. The physical plant, 2 staff records, 3 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed reading quietly and engaging in physical activity through the Wii and playing outside. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on observation, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence:
1. Cleaning wipes were observed sitting on a shelf behind a desk, accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: The cleaning wipes were placed in a locked closet during inspection.

Based on record review, 2 of 3 children's records reviewed did not contain all required information.

Evidence:
1. The record for Child #1 did not contain documentation of the work phone number for each parent.
2. The record for Child #3 did not contain documentation of the work phone number for one parent.
