Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was initiated on 10/16/2023 and concluded on 10/16/2023. There were 61 children present with 13 staff supervising and one director present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records, six staff records and one board member records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:20 am and concluded at 1:10 pm.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review the center failed to ensure that staff shall complete orientation training prior to the staff member working alone with children and no later than seven days of the date of assuming job responsibilities.
Evidence:
Staff # 3, 4, 6 (hire date 8/28/23) and staff # 5 & 7 (hire date 10/23) have not received orientation training.
Plan of Correction: The director will ensure that new staff received orientation training as required by the standards within the set time frames.
