A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Within the first 90 days of employment, all staff who work directly with children shall complete Virginia Preservice Training.

Staff #2 (who has been employed for over 5 years) and #6 (who has been employed for 8 months), who are working with children, have not yet completed this course.

Standard 8VAC20-790-600-D-1
All staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of employment, and every two years after, current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Staff #5 CPR certification has been expired for more than two months. Staff #6 (who has been employed for more than 8 months) did not have documentation of CPR certification.
Plan of Correction: Employee had completed CPR/First Aid Training 10/2024, however a copy of the certification was not in the employee file.
