Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on June 16, 2023 at 9:00 am until 10:01 am at the program. The inspection was completed on June 20, 2023 after review of staff records. There were 22 children present with 2 staff supervising. There were observations of the children playing on outdoor playground equipment, playing ball in the grassy field, parent drop off, interactions with staff and their peers, and completing indoor activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care, medication, and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 children and 2 staff records, and 2 medications were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation and photograph, the center did not ensure all hazardous substance are kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: In the cafeteria, there was a large container of hand sanitizer on top of a table accessible to children in care. A photograph of the unlocked hand sanitizer observed during the inspection.
