Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the facility was not conducted at this time however, a portion of the inspection included a virtual component which allowed the inspector to observe the indoor and outdoor areas of the school.

A scheduled monitoring inspection was conducted at 1:00pm. The director was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection, and given a list of items required to complete the inspection. Children in the afternoon program were observed participating in a variety of teacher led activities during the inspection. Children wore weather appropriate clothing. Equipment and supplies were sufficient. Safeguards for safe outdoor school programs have been implemented, and the necessary equipment is available to children on a daily basis. Strong COVID-19 health and safety practices are implemented daily. Information gathered during the inspection determined there was one area of non-compliance with applicable standards or laws reviewed.
