Inspector Notes

Conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection at 11:25am. Observed 18 children + 4 direct-care staff + 1 parent-volunteer. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed participating in an animated and interactive song that included props, story-time, eating snack, and departing for the day. Staff were actively engaged with the children, activities and parents as they arrived to pick-up the children. The program areas were found to be sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. This is an outdoor based education program that includes indoor classroom space. Areas of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@doe.virginia.gov
