Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was initiated on 11/29/2022 at 9:00am and concluded on 11/29/2022 at 10:50am. There were a total of 74 children with 13 staff members present. Children were observed participating in activity stations, playing with toy cars and magnets, engaged in group activities and outdoor play time. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 8 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of children's records, there was not a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

Evidence: There was not a written care plan for Child #1, Child #2, and Child #1, who each have a diagnosed food allergy.
Plan of Correction: The center will obtain and keep record of written care plans for each of the children with diagnosed food allergies.
