Inspector Notes

A VA 22.1-289.031 code compliance monitoring inspection was conducted from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. There were three children in care being supervised by one staff. The children were observed playing outdoors. A total of three children's records and three staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of three children's records it was determined that not all records contained documentation of immunization records as required. Evidence: The record for child A (start date: 03/01/2024) did not have documentation of immunizations on file.
Plan of Correction: I have gotten a copy of the immunization record and birth certificate and put it in their file.
Standard 22.1-289.031-B-6
Based on review of three staff records it was determined that not all staff were trained to recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect. Evidence: The records for the three staff on site did not have child abuse and neglect training.
Plan of Correction: Both teachers have taken the classes and have put certs. in their files.
