An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted today. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Based on interview and record review, it was determined the Provider and the assistant did not include as part of their 16 hours in annual training the department's health and safety update course.
Evidence;
1. Both the Provider and assistant have 16 hours in annual training.
2. The 3 hour Health and safety update was taken in 2019 but has not been taken in the last year.
