Inspector Notes

Licensing Inspector conducted an unannounced CODE Compliance Inspection on 09/07/2023 There were 48 children ages 1 years to 4 years old present under the direct care of 13 staff. The Licensing Inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 4 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. The inspector arrived at 9:15 AM and departed at 11:30 AM

Based on record review of four staff persons, the center failed to ensure that
required background checks are repeated every 5 years per the Code of Virginia.

Evidence:
1.Staff # 1 had a fingerprint eligibility letter dated 03/13/18. An updated fingerprint
eligibility letter was not provided.
2. Staff # 2 had a fingerprint eligibility letter dated 02/25/2018. An updated fingerprint eligibility letter was not provided.
3. Staff # 4 had a fingerprint eligibility letter dated 02/07/2018. An updated fingerprint eligibility letter was not provided.
Plan of Correction: The director will have all staff requiring an updated finger print to schedule an appointment ASAP.
