Inspector Notes

Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced monitoring inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on March 22, 2023 from 10:45 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. Upon arrival, there were 6 children, ages 4-5, in the care of 2 staff. Five children and four staff records were reviewed and updated. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for one child.

Areas observed were: educational activities, transition, hand washing/bathroom procedures and dismissal. The classroom is well equipped with a variety of age/stage materials for the children in care.

Based on record review, the center failed to have documentation of a central registry finding for one staff member within 30 days of employment.

Evidence:

1. Four staff records were reviewed.
2. Staff #4 did not have documentation of obtaining a Virginia Central Registry finding.
3. Staff #4's date of hire was documented as 09/20/2022.
4. The Staff #2 confirmed the Virginia Central Registry findings had not been received for Staff #4.
