Inspector Notes

An unannounced VA 22.1-289.031 code compliance monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:30 am - 11:30 am. There were 34 children in care being supervised by 6 staff. The children were observed participating in structured center activities and playing outdoors. A total of six children's records and three staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of three staff records and interview it was determined that staff were not trained to recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect. Evidence: The six staff on site did not have training in child abuse and neglect.
