Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/20/2023 from 11:10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. There were 44 children present, ranging in age from five to 11 years old with seven staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and seven staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that when food is brought from home, the container is clearly dated.
Evidence:
1. In Staff #6?s classroom, there were three lunch boxes without a date. In the cafeteria, none of the lunch boxes had dates.
2. Staff #7 confirmed that the lunchboxes contained food brought from home and that the lunch boxes were not dated.
Plan of Correction: Staff will confirm upon arrival that food brought from home is labeled with a date.
