Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-600-D-1
All staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Staff #1 employed for 4 months did not have CPR certification.
Plan of Correction: Staff #1 obtained CPR certification on 5/12/25. The center has implemented a mandatory orientation checklist to verify CPR completion within the required timeframe for new hires.

All staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment current certification in first aid. Staff #1 employed for 4 months did not have first aid certification.
Plan of Correction: Staff #1 obtained First Aid certification on 5/12/25 All current staff were audited for valid certifications. A tracking spreadsheet has been created to ensure all staff obtain First Aid within 90 days of employment.
