Inspector Notes

Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 1:45pm-3:15pm. There was a total of 32 children with 9 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed participating in circle time, drawing and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, evacuation drill log, medication and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during the inspection. Violations

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A

Based on observation, areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, were not maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

Evidence:
1. The ceiling vents in the office, ocean room, and forest room were not clean and had a black substance on them.

Plan of Correction: We had someone come out to clean the vents and they also ensured that there was no mold found in the vents. They just needed cleaning and it has been completed.
