Inspector Notes
A renewal inspection was conducted on 04/14/2023. There were 19 children present, ranging in ages from infant to school age, with 7 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program and discussed with the program director during the exit interview.
Violations
6Evidence:
1. The record provided for child 4, who began attending on 8/30/2021, did not include the results of a physical examination.
2. Staff 1 verified that the record for child 4 did not contain the results of a physical examination.
Evidence:
1. There was a container of aerosol sanitizer on a shelf in the infant room where infant food and food service items were stored.
2. Staff 1 acknowledged the sanitizer stored with food service items.
Evidence:
1. Staff 1, who is program director qualified, stated that she oversees staff 2, 4, and 5, the assistants on duty in the infant toddler groupings.
2. There was no program leader qualified staff overseeing the preschool grouping. Staff 1 stated that they are hoping to get staff 6 program leader qualified.
Evidence:
1. There was no diaper disposal can for use by the diaper changing station in the preschool classroom.
2. Staff 1 stated that diapers are bagged and taken outside, not placed in a disposal can.
Evidence:
The facility does not have a battery operated radio.
Evidence:
There were four lunch containers in the preschool classroom that were not dated.
