Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews, and a virtual tour of the program.

A renewal inspection was initiated on October 18, 2021 and concluded on November 9, 2021. The director and owner were contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 114 children present, ranging in ages from infants to 6 years, with 19 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Children's records, allergy plans, medication, and 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Based on record review of 4 new staff files, it was determined the center did not obtain Search of central registry within 30 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. Staff A was employed in June, 2021 and Staff B and C employed July, 2021. Central Registry Search for all 3 staff were not sent within 30 days of employment.
Plan of Correction: In the future, we will require all Central Registry Checks be submitted the first week of employment.
