During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 09/17/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 1:35p.m. and ended at 4:15p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 109 children present and 26 staff. The inspector reviewed 9 children?s records and 9 staff records on-site. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Cleaning agents were stored in an unlocked accessible cabinet in the infant room. Cleaning agents were stored on a bin that was accessible to children ages 3 to 5 years in Classroom # 7.
Plan of Correction: The cleaning agents were moved to an area that children can't reach.
Standard 8VAC20-780-560-G
When food is brought from home, the food container shall be clearly dated.

Lunchboxes that were hanging on pegs in the hallway were not dated outside of Classrooms #6 and #9.
Plan of Correction: We will remind parents to date the lunch boxes and teachers will date the lunch boxes if they aren't dated when they are brought in.
Standard 8VAC20-780-560-L
Staff shall sit with children during meal times.
Children ages 3 to 5 years were eating afternoon snack. Staff did not sit with the children while they ate.
Plan of Correction: We will re-train the staff of the importance of sitting with children while they eat.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A
Each center shall maintain and keep at the center a separate record for each child enrolled which shall contain parent work addresses.
Child #1,2,3 and 5's record did not contain parent work addresses.
Plan of Correction: We will audit all files and obtain work addresses for parents at their fall parent teacher conferences.
Standard 8VAC20-780-80-A
For each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

A current record of attendance was not kept for the group of children in Class #1. Nine children ages 3 to 5 years were observed in Class #1.
Plan of Correction: The staff will be required to begin recording the attendance of each child throughout the day.
