Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between the hours of 10:15 am-11:45 am. There were a total of 59 children with 12 staff members present. Children were observed during snack time, handwashing, diapering, engaged in group activities and outdoor play time. The physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Based on observation, hazardous substances were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
1. In the infant classroom, a bottle of soap and water solution and a bottle of bleach and water solution was not locked up. The bottles were not accessible to the children.
Plan of Correction: Hazardous substances will be locked up. The hazardous substances were locked up at the time of the inspection.
