Repeat Violation
The emergency evacuation procedures shall be practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care during all shifts that children are in care.
There was no documentation to show that an evacuation drill was completed in July of 2025.
Plan of Correction: Provider was under the impression that when shelter in place was done that I didn't need fire drill for said month. Going forward, a fire drill will be done every month.
Standard 8VAC20-800-90-A
Before a child may attend the family day home, the provider shall obtain
documentation that the child has been adequately immunized according to the
requirements of ? 32.1-46 A of the Code of Virginia and applicable State Board of
Health regulations.
The record for Child #1 showed that immunization documentation was not received before the child attended the family day home, which is required.
Plan of Correction: Going forward, provider will ensure that all enrollments provide immunization documentation prior to starting care.
