Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm. There were 83 children supervised by 19 direct care staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing outside, reading books, and eating lunch. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on observation, areas of the center, outside, were not maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition.

Evidence:

1. 3 out of 3 sand tables located on the backyard playground were not covered and drained to prevent stagnant water from accumulating.

2. One of the wooden logs used to border the playground equipment was deteriorating and splintered.
Plan of Correction: We will order a tarp to cover the sand tables by 9/19/2022.

The wood will be fixed by 9/23/2022
