During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on March 17, 2025 and completed on March 17, 2025, as a part of the current licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:15am and ended at 12:00pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 99 children present and 22 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on March 26, 2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Mops with cleaning solution attached, were noted to be accessible to children in the Butterflies and Sunny Bunnies classrooms.
Plan of Correction: Mops with solutions were stored in closets and a reminder sent to staff.

Fans shall be out of reach of children and cords shall be secured so as not to create a tripping hazard.

Small fans were noted in several classrooms and accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: Fans were removed from desk area and placed on higher shelves and cords were removed.

Electrical outlets shall have protective covers that are of a size that cannot be swallowed by children.

Outlets were noted to be uncovered in the Bouncing Bunnies.
Plan of Correction: 2 outlet covers were installed and reminder sent to staff.

When staff are supervising children, they shall always ensure their care and protection.

A Keurig coffee maker was observed plugged in, on the counter within reach of the children in the classroom.
Plan of Correction: Keurig machine was removed from classroom.
Standard 8VAC20-780-40-M
The center shall maintain a current written list of all children's allergies. This list shall be dated and kept confidential in each room or area where children are present.

~Allergy List for Child A was posted in the hallway outside of the classroom with no cover.
~Allergy list in the Sunny Bunnies classroom was not kept confidential, it is posted with no cover.
Plan of Correction: Parent has requested that allergies be posted for all families in the classroom to see and be aware. Parent signed a consent form, stating such while inspector was present.
