Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/19/23 from 10:25am to 11:35am with program management. There were nine children in care, ranging in age from four- to five-years-old, supervised by two staff. The children were observed listening to a story about numbers, practicing flashcards with the teacher, using the restroom, and getting ready for P.E. class. Three child records and two staff records were reviewed. The program has six staff with current certification in CPR and First Aid, and one staff trained in Daily Health Observation. There were no medications on-site for the licensed program, but the center has six staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). Required postings were observed. The attendance and emergency drill log were reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
