Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documentation review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was initiated on August 12, 2021 and concluded on August 20, 2021. There were 34 children present with seven staff supervising. A code compliance inspection was also conducted on this date.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of three staff records and interview, the vendor did not ensure one staff member obtained a subsequent tuberculosis (TB) screening at least every two years.

Evidence:
The record for Staff #1 (hire date 05/27/2019) contained a TB screening dated 05/07/2019. A member of management confirmed this information.
Plan of Correction: We mistakenly thought the TB screening expired in August. Staff #1 is scheduled to get her updated TB screening.
