A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the code compliance inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in code were reviewed during this SHSI.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

In the toddler room, a bottle of bleach water was next to the changing station unlocked and within reach of children.
Plan of Correction: Put a lock on toddler upper cabinet to keep bleach away.

Prepared infant formula shall be refrigerated, dated, and labeled with the child's name if more than one infant is in care.

In the infant room, two separate infant bottles were observed without a date.
Plan of Correction: Sent a letter to parents.
