Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 03/20/2025 and completed on 03/20/2025, as a part of the provisional licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:20 am and ended at 12:50 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 141 children present and 37 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site.

This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-290-A-3
In areas used by preschool age or younger children, electrical outlets shall have protective covers.

There was an uncovered electrical outlet that was accessible to children in Classroom 6. The children in Classroom 6 were of preschool age or younger.
Plan of Correction: The outlet was covered during the inspection. Teachers will be instructed to check all outlets before the start of each day.
Standard 8VAC20-780-560-G
When food is brought from home the food container must be clearly dated and labeled in a way that identifies the owner.

There were multiple lunchboxes that were not labeled and dated in Classroom 5.
Plan of Correction: Will have the teachers reiterate to parents to label and date all lunchboxes and will have teachers double check the lunchboxes.
