Inspector Notes
The inspection was initiated on May 31, 2023 and concluded June 1, 2023. The inspector was in the family day home from 1:20 PM until 2:15 PM. There were 4 children present, ranging in ages from 21 months to age 4, with 1 provider. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, physical health of caregivers, caregiver training, physical equipment/ environment, care of children, preventing spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records, I provider and 2 household member records reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program
Violations
1Evidence: There were 4 children observed during their rest period and 3 were observed awake and watching television while laying on their cots. The provider confirmed the television program was a daytime soap opera and it had been on for approximately 45 minutes. The age range of children in care was 21 months to age 4.
